Piper is getting more daring! Karlee found him first this morning.

We were wondering if he was coming from the North Pole, going to the North Pole or just going for a joy ride!!

The kiddos we concerned that Piper wouldn't be able to get down! I did assure them that Piper was a very smart elf and could handle it! Jordan loved that he was covering his eyes! It's the little things.

Jordan got to find Piper all by herself this time! It's Sunday, so no Karlee and Jacob is away at a sleepover. I guess Piper knew it was ok to play with Girly toys. My Little Pony school!!

Day 16-Game day!!

Piper decked out the kid's bathroom! Jacob has a huge game with the All Stars! Jordan needed a little incentive to write her letter to Santa. She has way to many things on her Christmas list and was having a very difficult time narrowing it down for Santa. You should see her list this year!! My own real phone, my own lap top, my own camcorder, my own itouch and on and on and on! How old is this girl???

Jacob the Football All Star!!

Jacob was selected as an All Star!! He is so excited. All of the All Stars got these great shirts and were supposed to wear them to school on Friday. These are pictures I took before school. Jacob got to put the first bear in the Advent calendar. He hasn't figured out yet that Jordan let him do the first one so she can put in the one on Christmas Eve! Little stinker.

They have to put their hand in a bag and take out a bear without looking. Jacob was so relieved he didn't pick out the ballerina bear!!

Piper must be missing the cold temperatures at the North Pole! We found him this morning just chillin'!!

He has great taste in Ice Cream! Blue Bell!!

Surely Piper is getting tired with all the parties he has been having. Maybe he'll just stay in the freezer for a couple of days! Mom and Dad are tired. Just can't stop, to much fun watching Jacob, Jordan and Karlee find him!

Day 14 Piper is getting into the copying business!

Our elf is apparently the party director of our house! It looks like lots of fun was had at this copy machine party. Even Tinkerbell, Barbie and a Fairy doll got in on the action!

Uh, Piper that is inappropriate! At least that's what Jordan told him this morning!

Day 13-Jordan at dance and Piper all stacked up!

It was Jordan's last day of dance before the Christmas break. Each girl got to bring a present to exchange with another dancer. They all sat in a circle and passed the presents around until the music stopped.

They started and stopped the music several times. The presents got quite backed up!

There was a ton of giggling going on.

Finally they got to open the present that ended up in front of them. Jordan got a stuffed giraffe with big eyes! Just one more thing for her to sleep with!

Piper was found this morning sitting on top of their cup stackers!!

This is a very difficult position for the elf to assume, just so you know. Piper is wobbly! Good thing J and J didn't touch their elf today, the entire pyramid would have come tumbling down!

Jacob and Jordan fly out of bed every morning to see where Piper will be today. This morning it took a while for them to get to the playroom. When they finally did, Jordan says "Oh, Piper, thank you for this, thank you!" I guess the streamers we a hit! That makes every minute we spend so worth it!

Piper took the time to write the kids a note on the chalkboard....

Piper knew that Jacob made his Flag Football's league All Star team!! He also knew that Jordan has been so good! The best thing was that he also left a message for Karlee! Jordan couldn't wait to show her the chalkboard. When Karlee saw it she said, "Miss Joyce, Piper knows who I am!" Her eyes were sparkling! Karlee doesn't have her own Elf at her house. So nice of Piper to include J and J's friend!

12 more days.....Whatever will he do for 12 more days??? Did I mention 12 more days???

Day 11-getting the Christmas tree and Piper

It's time to get our tree!! We always start off at the same place, High Star Farms. No tree from them this year, but we had a great time in the maze and on the haystack!

They have this maze down! Not even one dead end for them!

Moved on to the next tree farm. They have great games here. J and J love the duck races. They can pump the water and eat a cookie at the same time!

These blowup horses were new this year. So much fun and so much falling down!

They had a blast playing together on these. I loved listening to them belly laughing!

This is a bean bag toss game. J and J had to have their picture taken with their faces in the holes!

Got our tree!! We just set it in the stand so the branches would drop over night, didn't even straighten it yet. Well, our little elf must have thought that our tree needed a little sprucing up! Here is what we found when we woke up...

Oh my gosh!! Toilet paper on the tree! The kids couldn't believe Piper TP'd our tree!!! Big discussions about how many rolls he used and where it stopped and started!

Grandma sent a box of this year's grandson, granddaughter and daughter ornaments today. I guess this was Piper's cue to use them in his antics!

I realize our elf is over the top! We love it!

On a side note, a football coach called Jacob on Friday to tell him that he had been chosen to be on the ALL STAR team!! This is a huge accomplishment for him. All of the opposing coaches write down who they thought were the best players on the other team. The league tallies that up at the end of the season and selects the boys. Depending on where you finish, is how many boys go to the All Stars, we got 3 kiddos. Jacob, Luke and Ty!! Couldn't be more proud!!

Back to the elf! I'm so glad that our elf cleans up his own messes each night!

It was a challenge to find our elf this morning. During the week Karlee is here with us looking for Piper also. The 3 of them were stumped! Finally found him and read his message.......

and then looked in the potty.........

The 3 of them in unison, "EEEEEWWWWWW!!!" followed by hysterical giggling! "GREEN ELF PEE!!!" Potty talk, cracks them up every time!

Day 7- Poor Piper

Jordan has double ear infections!! She has never had an ear infection before, that I know of. She was really hurting. A trip to the doctor directly from the bus stop. Coughing and runny nose also!

Well, Piper must have been having the same thing going on. Here is the way they found him.....

All set with medicine, tissues and vicks vapor rub! Apparently no garbage can!

I hope he was able to get that thermometer to work better than I can!

Poor thing. Piper and Jordan laid around the house today, both sick.

Day number 6 for the Elf's escapades

Day 3 and 4 of Piper's visits

Day 3: Jacob and Jordan were both away at sleepovers! Obviously Piper doesn't make a big show when the kids aren't home!

Day 4: Kids are back! Piper is having a great time around our house while the kids are sleeping! Rob, Grandma and myself were also included in this little prank!

Day #2 of our Elf on the Shelf

Apparently Piper can't just move to a different spot each night, he has now stepped it up to actually doing things while the kids sleep!

Here is what Jacob and Jordan found this time........

Piper had a DS playing party! He invited some of the kids stuffed animals!

Thanks to their Snow Leopards their were treats. They knocked over the goody boxes J and J got from a party they went to. The animals must have eaten some Reece's Peanut Butter cups and Hershey Kisses, there were empty wrappers all over the island!


The Angry Bird got the headphones! Jacob was a little mad that Piper had his DS! One of the rules of this elf thing is that the kids can not touch him, he will lose his magic. So how was Jacob going to play the DS??? Rob ended up rescuing it! Who is going to clean up this party?

Our Elf is back!!

It's the beginning of December and our Elf on the Shelf, Piper, is back! He came with a note saying how much he has missed the kids and that Santa was looking forward to coming to the house. Piper also reminded them that he has to tell Santa about naughty, as well as nice, behavior. Then he wrote-GO FIND ME! Here is what they found. Apparently our elf has gotten quite mischievous!

Jacob and Jordan's first day of school!! New backpack and messenger bag and they are ready to go!! Well, Jordan for sure, Jacob not so much!

My favorite picture of the day. They were having fun having their pictures taken this morning.

They are so grown up these days that I didn't even get to pick out what they wore to school this year! This was all them! Even Jordan's curly hair was her idea. Slept in the sponge rollers!

This is J and J's classmate and friend from Kindergarten, Karlee. She lives in our neighborhood and will be coming over every morning to catch the bus with the kids. Her parents work. The twins loved having her here!

Jordan's new classroom. Mrs. Gamble is her new teacher. Mrs. Gamble has a daughter the same age as J and J. Jordan named her fish Brooke last year, after Mrs. Gamble's daughter.

Jacob's new classroom! Mrs. Brighi is his new teacher. Jacob had a little trouble this morning once we got to his class. He went to see his Kinder teacher before going to his new class. All his idea. He just loves his Kinder teacher, Mrs. Gable. Anyway, he came to his class and I just happen to be there helping another student find his way. He saw me and came right over to me and started hugging me and crying saying that he didn't want to go to stinky school. That's Jacobese for I am scared. Mrs. Brighi was aware of his shyness and nervousness and came right over, got him away from me and got him busy at his table. LOVE HER!! The next time I saw him was on his way to recess, ALL SMILES!

Our school is open concept. Jacob's class is right behind Jordan's. They are in switch classes this year. Different homerooms and they switch back and forth for math and reading. They do go to Art, Music, lunch and recess together.

Home again!! I missed them.

Kid's Playroom grows up!!

I have been wanting to change the kid's playroom for a while now. It was just not meeting their needs anymore. No place to really sit down and draw, play a game, or build Legos. There was also no place, except the closet, to store anything.

Well, my mom came for a week and we both got busy "growing up" their playroom. We were up until all hours of the night going through toys and everything else that was in there. We spent a lot of time thinking about what we needed to make it more fun and accessible. Then a trip to Ikea and Target and we were set. There was also a trip to a very sketchy area of town, via Craig's list! More about that later. If my mom had been here for a little bit longer, we would have painted. That's next.

For now, it turned out fantastic and the kids have been in there every morning instead of turning on the tv! They both had sleepovers this weekend and all 4 of them were in there playing constantly!! The best thing, for me, was that it stayed picked up. We really tried hard to make the cleaning up as easy as possible. The older sister of Jordan's friend, who is 11, said it was the coolest playroom ever!! Well, I'm not sure about ever.....but that was nice to hear.

Of course we forgot to take before pictures......

This is walking into the playroom. We took the doors off and one of the chalk/magnetic boards that we made years ago. That little storage unit fit perfectly under the window. I'd like to say we planned that!

Obviously this is not a picture of our playroom. This is a picture of the fabric slings mom is making for us, ours will be deeper than the one shown in the picture. There will be 2 of them hanging next to the remaining chalkboard. The fabric we chose is gorgeous and they will be reversible. We're going to put over sized coloring books and other larger items in there. I think it's going to look great. Can't wait until we get them up.

Here's the new table we got from Craig's List. I have never bought anything from there before. I usually just use it to price my stuff that I am selling. Well, we were looking for a table that would work well for art projects and games. We thought we wanted a white round table. We couldn't find one! I looked on Craig's list for one and found this. The listing said nothing was wrong with it they just needed to sell it. We loved the price so we bought it. Mom and I had to drive about thirty minutes away to pick it up in a town called Pinehurst, between Magnolia and Tomball. Anyway, it was getting dark so we were trying to hurry. We passed the road we needed to turn on twice before finally finding it. NO streetlights at all, lots of trailers, chain link fencing with chain locks. Mom said there was no way Rob would ever let me go to an area like this! We couldn't find the house address, trailer address, because it was so dark. We had to turn around in a really sketchy semi driveway. I know Mom was waiting for people and dogs to come out with guns blazing! We finally found it and pulled in the little driveway with huge gulleys on either side. Out walks the girl we were meeting. Piercings and tattoos everywhere on her. I could feel mom shivering behind me. We walked to the front door and the house was empty except for our table. We walk inside to look at it and make sure we want it. Mom actually is shaking the table and sitting in the chairs to test them out. It had knicks in it, but for the price we were paying for 4 chairs and the table, we still wanted it. Out comes this huge guy, also with piercings and tattoos everywhere. He offers to help us carry it to the car. Then a little guy comes out, yes, he also was adorned with tattoos and body jewelry! They all 3 ended up being very nice and polite, Yes Mams and thank you's and pretty darn chatty! They got the table in, mom paid them and we got the #$@! out of there.

The table ended up being so incredibly, disgustingly dirty that it took us about 3 hours of serious scrubbing to get it clean. When we did, it looked great. Even though we put a vinyl tablecloth on it, the wood top is in great shape.

We got a fantastic table for the kids and a story to tell all for $60!!!

The Art center.

Mom and I put together all the furniture in the room. So handy we are!! The little drawer cabinet on wheels is perfect! It has markers, crayons, paper and so much more in there all organized and easily accessible! We even moved the art hanging wire in here. Great place to show off all the creations.

Shallow bins everywhere, not so deep that things just get lost. Places for ponys, bendaroos, and so much more.

This is the reading area. You are not going to believe this, but those book shelves are vinyl rain gutters!!! Is that so cool or what!! We bought 1 length of the gutter at Lowe's and cut it into 3rds. We used the mounting brackets that they sell with the gutters. Entire project, $18. The gutters even have ridges where the books sit. Great for keeping more than one in there. I love that the books are forward facing and they can see what is there. We stored the rest of their books in the closet and will rotate them out.

Took the doors off the closet and found a new home for all of my china. The closet is now a place where they can get toys and games easily.

Jordan takes a nap???

I can't remember the last time one of my kiddos took a nap!

Jordan had asked me to get her all set up on the couch. This includes a pillow pet, blanket and her baby pig. I thought I was just getting her comfortable to watch more Sponge Bob!

We all went to the Astro's game last night and didn't get home until around 11:00. They both stayed awake the entire ride home! Both also woke up at 7:30!

I walked by Jordan a couple of minutes after getting her all set up and noticed she was blinking a lot. I told her it was ok to fall asleep and take a nap. That was all it took. 2 minutes later she was asleep. So cute!

End of School Year Party!!!!

School is done for the year!!! Jacob and Jordan had a fantastic year as Kindergartners!! We decided to throw a party for all of our friends to celebrate. The party was the day after school was out. We probably had about 60 people at our house!! 130 hot dogs, tons of bottled water, fruit, veggies and 2 or 3 Popsicles each kept the kiddos going all day long!! We started at 10:00 and ended about 6:30!

The party brought together some great women and their kiddos! Even though I was the only person that knew everyone, I hope that these women got a chance to know each other a little. They are all so wonderful! We had friends from MOPS, MOMS, Swenke and T-ball!! Some of the kids that were at the party have been Jacob and Jordan's friends since they were babies!! It was so great to see them all together again.

We had NO injuries, fights, or destroyed anything!! Everyone was amazing and played so well together.

This is Bailey, my friend Tracy's daughter. All of the kids at the party wanted to play with her! I'm talking about kids that she didn't even know! We had to tell the mob of kids surrounding her several times to back away and leave her alone for a while!! She had cast a spell on them!

My sweet baby boy, who by the way, informs me that he is most certainly NOT a baby anymore!

Jacob, Hudson and Parker have been on the same t-ball team the past 2 years! They all get along great. Jacob had his first sleep over at Parker's house!

Thanks so much to everyone for sharing this day with us. The Spencer family had a blast! I had asked Rob to take the day off but he was just to busy at work to do that. Well, at 11:30 I get a call from Rob saying he is coming home!! He just couldn't stand not being there to have fun with all the great people who were at the party.

We also want to say thank you to everyone who kicked in for the slip and slide rental! That was awesome and appreciated. We can't forget our neighbor, Robbie, who lent us those 4 10x10 tents we used for shade all day! For sure we would have all been much hotter had it not been for the shade the tents provided us! Thanks Robbie!

Our garden after 6 weeks!!

This has been so much fun for all of us! We can't believe how this thing has taken off! All along the fence we have red onions. In front of those are our sunflowers. Corn on each side! The big bushes with huge leaves are our yellow squash. The one on the left is much bigger than the one on the right. Next to each of those are 2 cucumber plants. They are really getting big. Cucumbers grow on a vine type plant, it creeps around trying to find something to latch onto! Of course the cages have tomatoes. The biggest one is cherry tomatoes. The other ones are coming along nicely! Can't wait for those!!! In the middle are 2 blueberry bushes and in the front is our strawberries. There is also carrots and cauliflower that we grew from seeds.

Jacob and Jordan go out every morning to see the garden. We have eaten many strawberries already. They are not big, but they are so sweet and yummy!

I'm really having to watch this cucumber vine. It's little tendrils really attach themselves to anything in it's path. I've had to unravel it from the blueberry bushes many times. I'm trying to see if it will grow up the tomato cage.

While Grandma and Grandpa were here over Spring Break, we planted a vegetable garden! Remember last year we grew Sunflowers. Well, this year we were much more ambitious!!

It was so fun getting all the plants with the kids. They picked out most everything! I added some things that I love, like LOTS of tomatoes. We are growing Sunflowers, red onions, 6 kinds of tomatoes, yellow squash, corn, cucumbers,carrots, cauliflower, blueberries and strawberries!!!

For the weekend!!! Our good friends Brandi and Scott are moving to a new home locally. We agreed to watch their 5 year old twins, Shelby and Brandon, and their 10 month old daughter, Bridget.

Jacob and Jordan have known their kids for a long time and they all get along great, most of the time. Bridget is a super happy baby and so fun.

Here are some pictures from our weekend.

Jordan fell in love with Bridget! Jordan couldn't stop rubbing her head and saying how cute she was. It was so great to watch my daughter act so loving.

That little house was a hit with ALL the kids

Tired little teddy bears! End of day 1 for them. Rob and I spent the next several hours trying to get Bridget to sleep. I take care of Bridget a couple of days during the week and thought this would be a breeze! Totally forgot what it was like to have a baby at night. Finally gave her a bottle and she went right out. Duh! She was hungry.

Ok, this is my rough and tumble boy! This weekend he was gentle, sweet and doted on the baby constantly. In these pictures he was pushing Bridget all over the house in her bouncy thing. She was loving it! Rob and I were loving it. We could sit for a minute. 5 kids, did I mention that?

The twins were all invited to a birthday party! Our friend Kelly has twin boys and it was their birthday. They are going to burn some energy! The party was about an hour away. My saint of a husband took them there all by himself. I stayed home with the baby and the laundry. I was a very happy with that!

We had a little photo shoot before the party. I thought it was so funny that the kids ended up dressed so similar. I had got Jacob and Jordan dressed before I got Shelby and Brandon ready so I had no idea what Brandi had packed for them. Great minds think alike. Anyway, enjoy the pictures of Jacob, Jordan, Shelby and Brandon.

Shelby fell off her bike and earned herself a cast. All the kids think it is so cool.

This was a huge moment for Jordan. Her her was able to go in a French Braid right down the middle instead of one on each side of her head. She was so proud that she could have hair like Shelby's.

Bridget fell in love with Rob! It's Saturday night and time for bed. This went much more smoothly this time. We just needed to allow for the learning curve. Rob the saint again, let me sleep and he fed Bridget a bottle in the middle of the night. Bridget does have a black eye. She fell off the bed, NOT on my watch!

She is so cute!!!

Waiting for me to cook them some dinner. Hadn't planned anything because they were serving pizza, cake and ice cream. The party was over at 5:30. Growing kids. They ate and watched a little bit of a movie. It's the boys turn to sleep in Uncle Tommy's room. The girls slept in there last night. They are back in Jordan's room and the baby is moving into Jacob's room. Whew!

I just think he is the cutest little boy! Even if he is starting to ruin all the pictures with silly faces! Well, maybe ruin is a little strong.

So, Jordan got to go to a Princess Tea to day at school. This was because she won this at the school's Winter Wonderland. She got to stay with the teacher instead of riding the bus home. That was apparently very exciting! I brought her most fabulous princess outfit, that she had picked out last night, to her at school and got the boot! Teachers and princesses only. They were going to have cookies and lemonade and make a craft. I know you are thinking "what about Jacob?" Well, he gets to go to the batting cages with Rob. Jacob was chosen to be the Snow Leopard of the Week for his class!! Mrs. Gable sent home a template of a paw print so that Jacob could create his own paw print! This is a HUGE deal! Jacob is the Line Leader ALL week at school. Very important stuff.

You all know that Jacob is really not a crafty kind of guy. Well, he really got into this project. He chose everything that went on it, where it went on the paw print and glued it all!! He even wanted to have a 1/2 red, 1/2 blue paw print. Mommy had a really hard time keeping her opinions to herself!! I did manage to let HIM do it! He did let me help put glue on the pictures and I had to hot glue the big J and the 2 Hot Wheel cars. It was fun watching him do this project.

It's going to be a great day!! The kids woke up so excited that it was their Birthday! Cinnamon rolls and presents for breakfast! Jacob lost his 2nd top tooth last night in bed! We have been waiting for this one to come out for a while. It has been just hanging there for days! YUK! That's his tongue in the middle, his new favorite thing to do. Juniper, his tooth fairy, was very good to him; a Hot Wheels motorcycle, a skull cup filled with cotton balls, a golden dollar, 2 quarters, a dime, a nickel and a penny. Pretty random amount??? Not sure what that Juniper was doing.

Jacob lost his 3rd tooth at school!! It was picture day as well. He did lose it right after them. I was kind of hoping he would lose it before pictures. Jacob was standing in line in music class ready to go back to his home room and it just fell out!
This is a VERY big deal; to lose a tooth at school. All because of the very special plastic teenie tiny treasure box they get to keep their tooth in!!
Jacob wrote a note to his tooth fairy, Juniper, as well. He asked him to please leave his treasure box. He did. His other front top tooth is wiggly! No corn on the cob for him.

Jordan got off the bus this afternoon with one less tooth in her mouth!! She lost her 6th tooth in the cafeteria eating lunch. It has been hanging by a thread for days. She said that it fell out in her hand while she was eating a pretzel. Then she told me she dropped her tooth on the table, but found it. Then she said she dropped it on the floor, but found it again and isn't that good because an ant could have come and carried it away. She has got some kind of an imagination.

This is the treasure box that her teacher gave her to put her tooth in. She even wrote her tooth fairy a note and asked her to please leave her treasure box and just take the tooth.

Jacob and Jordan had an ice cream social at their new school tonight! Bomb Pops and Fudgesicles!! A little playing on the school playground and behind the stage curtain. They had fun and I think it was good for them to see the school again before they start.

We have meet the teacher next Friday. J and J's teacher is Ms. Gable. A friend of mine told me she is a great teacher. She still keeps in touch with her daughter via email. That makes me feel a little better about sending my babies to school 5 days a week for 8 hours a day!! Just sayin'.

Even though Jacob has been saying that he doesn't want to got to Kindergarten, because it's to many days, I think he is coming around. Jordan is ready to go tomorrow. I am excited to see them get on the bus! They are so excited about that. School starts on the 23rd.

Jordan lost her 4th tooth the other day. She lost it while brushing her teeth. This is the first top tooth. It's already making her say her S's funny. So cute. More to come out soon. She has 2 more wiggly. This is going to make for great Kindergarten photos.

So, I pick J and J up from a camp they are doing at their pre-school, Bake and Play. They had a blast! They made cookies and baked bread from scratch. We were going to lunch with their favorite and oldest friends, Camryn and Lauren. Jordan mentioned to me that she had an ant bite. I looked at it and thought a mosquito had bitten her. She came back a few minutes later and showed me the same spot on her arm. Well, it still looked to me like several mosquito bites. By the time we get to the table at CFL the spots were growing together before my eyes. They were now on her face and legs. Needless to say, we packed everything up and were on the road to the Dr.. They were closed for lunch!!! UGH! So we waited. The hospital was further away than the wait for the office to reopen.
We get inside and our favorite Dr is there to see us right away. The Doc with all the training says, "she is definitely reacting to something" Well DUH!!! So anyway, he gives her a steroid to help with the rash/hives and itching. We go off to fill the prescription and get some Aveeno!

Poor kiddo. We have no idea what caused this. Nothing strange in her diet or change in soaps, ect. She still had some flair ups today, the heat brings them out. Dr. said that was to be expected. She's on the Steroids until tomorrow. We'll see how she's doing.

These areas that you see here were ALL over her body at the Doctor's office. Once she has taken the medicine about 90% go away.

We had a lot of people over for Easter this year. Grandma and Grandpa were already here. We also invited some of our friends that weren't going to be with family. It turned out to be so fun. I love having holidays with lots of people around. It reminds me of great times in Richmond.

First Drive In Movie!!

We went to see How to Train a Dragon. It was fantastic! The kids just loved it. We brought their sleeping bags and pillows and set them up in the back of the car. It was so comfy. Rob and I sat in camping chairs with blankets. Eventually Rob moved in to the car to watch with the J and J. I can't wait to go back. I love that we have a Drive In here. Brings back memories! They even have the playground up front.

Jacob was looking around the house for things that he could sell at the yard sale I am doing on Saturday with my multiples group. He called me into the playroom and told me he had found something to sell!! He said "Mommy, I got an idea. We can sell the lock on this closest! Cause every time someone locks it, we can't get in! So, we should sell it" The closest holds toys that are being rotated and my china.

I just love that kid!!

It's been one month since our last picture of the garden. The Sunflower plants are growing like crazy, and so are the weeds! We really need to get out there and get all that grass growing into our garden under control. But it's soooo hot already!!! Hopefully we will have a nice cloud covered day soon.
J and J still check on these all the time. They are so proud that they got the seeds to grow! I can's wait for them to get flowers!!

Uncle Jimmy came to visit us! He was in Dallas on business and was able to get away for a little bit. We are only about 3-4 hours away.
Jacob and Jordan were so excited! They are so into learning about relationships and loved the fact that this was Daddy's brother coming to see us. I think the last time we saw Jim was in Va Beach. The twins would have been 3. I thought they might be a little shy since we don't see him often. Boy was I wrong! They both took to him instantly. We didn't really have time to go anywhere, so we just hung out here and played.

Signed the kids up for Kindergarten on Wednesday. Thought I was all calm and cool..........not so much. While filling out all the paperwork, I thought I might be having a heart attack!! I couldn't bring myself to fill out the paper that said how the twins were going to get to school. Bus riders??? My babies??

They are so ready to go to school. I know they are going to have a blast.

We started our T-ball weekend of fun by having Jacob's entire team and their families over to our house!! The purpose of this party is to decorate the truck that the team will be riding in at the parade on Saturday morning.

We have lots of decorations, willing parents and tons of toys for the boys and their siblings to play with. We also have pizza being delivered!! This turned out to be really fun. All the boys parents came and really pitched it to get the truck looking fantastic. It's nice to have the parents to so willing to do all the extra stuff associated with your son being on a t-ball team.

I am the team Mom. I have certain jobs I have to do. One of them is ordering the banner. This is the one that I chose for our team. I had to order it from an airbrushing place in California! This t-ball stuff is serious business.

It was a little chilly so I decided to put all the food inside the garage. You know how people from Texas are....60 degrees and we have on gloves and a sweater.

We were waiting in the parade staging area. The boys got to check out all 81 of the other team trucks in the parade. This is a huge league.

During the parade. The team had a blast throwing candy to all the people. I even bought them silly string to spray.

Next up, Opening Day Ceremonies. The boys had to wait a long time for all of the teams to arrive on the field.

We finally got started and said the the Pledge of Allegiance. It was so great to watch all those boys take off their hats and put their hands on their hearts.

One of my jobs as a team mom was to put together a basket to raffle off on Opening Day. Our theme, together with 2 other teams, was educational toys for toddlers. Our team parents all pitched in to donate an item! We are the reason this basket is so huge. I went and bought a child sized wheelbarrow to hold some of the items. I think it turned out great! When we left for our break, the bidding on the silent auction was up to $150!!

Jordan was a trooper this entire weekend. Even though all of this was about her brother, she didn't mind one bit! She had a blast also. Love her too!

What a great weekend this was. I couldn't be more proud of Jacob. I am so looking forward to watching him play t-ball!!!

It was 6 years ago TODAY!!! that we found out we were going to have twins!!

I remember Rob saying to the Ultrasound Tech, "Is that two?" and pointing the the monitor. Sure enough.
I called my Mom when I got home and asked her to stop over after she got off work. That's when we used to live about 5 minutes away from her office in Downtown Richmond, Va. Anyway, she came over and I had laid the ultrasound on the kitchen counter, where she was sure to see it, and noticed the ultrasound but not the fact that there were 2 babies.
What a wonderful life this has been since we had those 2 precious babies.

Amazing!!
