Jordan says the Pledge

It has been so long since I posted anything on here. Not having my computer has really hurt my blog. I am going to try and start posting more often. I really like having this and hopefully can show it to the kids one day. Here is a video of Jordan. She asked me if I could make a movie of her saying this.

Jacob and Jordan's 1st day of school

These pictures are from Jacob and Jordan's first day of school. They are in the Fish class this year. Mrs. Nagy and Mw. Toni are their teachers. They are both fantastic and the kids love going to school. I started this post ages ago. I think it's a good one to have on here to see how much they have grown.

Thier silly teacher, Mrs. Nagy

I surprised the kids with some yummy cookies when I picked them up after school

It's been a great year so far. They do a ton of cool stuff in thier class. I'll post some of that soon.

Bushel and a Peck

You need to turn your volume up to hear this video of Jordan. Grandma has been singing this song to them for ages. Jordan is reading the book Bushel and a Peck.

Computer is shot!!!

Well, it's official, my beloved lap top is toast! I dropped it off at Best Buy to the Geek Squad. They called yesterday to let us know it would be $1300 to get it back up and working. Uh, no thank you.
So, onto something else. I fear that I am going to have to give up my 17 inch screen. This certainly wasn't a timely thing with Disney coming up soon. Oh well.
We'll see what we end up with.

Oh the things kids say....

Rob was trying to find something for the kids to watch on TV the other day. Their new thing is to watch cartoons on Boomerang. They are watching cartoons that Rob and I watched as kids, The Banana Splits, Hong Kong Phooey, and Tom and Jerry! Well anyway, there was a cartoon on that I don't let them watch and Jordan proceeds to tell Rob, " Daddy, that show is not appropriate for children!" Rob just bust out laughing. Man, she is her mother's daughter.

Jordan's dance recital

The time finally came.....Jordan's big dance recital at the Berry Center! The Berry Center is a huge auditorium where we have gone to see some wonderful plays. This was a whole weekend event for her. On Saturday we had to go to the dance rehearsal. Jordan's teacher, Miss Megan, had told all of the parents that the kids had to wear age appropriate make-up. Well, she's 4!! To me that means NONE! I did give in and buy her some cute pink frosty lipstick. As I was putting that on her I thought she could use some blush, next thing I know I am putting mascara on her!! Geeez! Jordan was loving every minute of it. I thought she looked adorable.

Here she is all made up and ready to go to rehearsal. We couldn't put her costume on until we got there. We might squish her Tutu.

Oh my goodness! What a beauty.

This is in the lobby of the Berry Center.

Here we are back stage having a run through. One of the other girls moms had memorized the girl's routine and wanted them all to practice before the practice????? Either way it was a great way to get some really cute pictures.

On the stage! We weren't allowed to take any pictures or videos of the actual performance on Sunday so this was our only chance to get some. You'll notice that Jordan's head is turned for most of these. That's because Miss Megan is off stage doing the dance with them.

Jordan's class and teacher

The school had arranged for a professional photographer to
take all the kiddos pictures and video the whole thing on Sunday.
We haven't purchased the video yet. So, here's my amateur video
of the rehearsal. Poor Jordan had a terrible runny nose.

It's Sunday now and time for the "real" performance. Jordan was so excited to dance on stage for us.

We had to drop Jordan off backstage before the performance. Only one Mom could stay back there with them. The Mom who volunteered to stay with them was fantastic! She brought a DVD player for them and made all the girls sweet little princess bags with great stuff inside. I made rice krispy squares and brought juice bags for them. They had a great time backstage. Rob, Jacob and I got to watch the entire show.

Jacob brought his sister some roses.

How sweet is that?
