Day 33-Goodbye Piper.....

Christmas Eve and it's time for Piper to go back to the North Pole. He left Jacob and Jordan a sweet note and a present!

 Piper left the kids a photo album full of all his adventures last year. What a great keepsake for them!

WHEW!! We made it through another season of Piper! No way is he coming back at Thanksgiving next year! December it is!

Day 32-Locked out!!

Jacob's new baseball team trains with a RED!!

Jacob was asked to join a Select baseball team this year. They had their first practice yesterday and were joined by MILB player Avain Rachal of the CINCINNATI REDS!!! What a great day for all these boys! And the parents too! Here is a link to Avain's page with all his stats:

I went to their practice, being a Cincinnati Reds fan, so of course I had to take some pictures! Jacob is going to be loving these when Avain is playing in the BIG leagues. He was great with the kids, giving them tips and pitching to them. He is going to be helping them out a bit at their practices before he has to report for Spring Training.

Day 31-Underwear hung by the chimney with care..

Piper hung a pair of everyone's underwear on the mantel! Jacob had someone sleeping over and he even hung up his underwear!

Day 30-Request for more red on their noses!

Jacob wrote Piper a letter (Grandma and Grandpa are flying in to town in the morning)........

 

You know Piper just HAD to honor this request!

 Of course he took Jacob's request to paint Jacob and Jordan's noses literally.....

 

 

 

 

He also refreshed the kids actual noses! Grandma and Grandpa loved seeing their little red noses!

 

Day 29-Piper has a paintbrush!!

This one is an oldy but a goody! I wish you could have seen Jacob's face this morning when he saw Jordan! Jacob woke up first and was changing the day on this bear we have that countdowns to Christmas. Jordan wakes up and starts looking for Piper and Jacob sees her face! His eyes got so wide and his hand went to his nose and he starts belly laughing! He's laughing so hard (and so am I) that he can't get the words out to tell Jordan about her nose! Love seeing him laugh like that!

Anyway, here are the pics from today. We know that it is never good when Piper has a paintbrush!

Day 28- 5 more days!

We got a really cute little reindeer topiary from Gigi today. It looks like Piper took him for a ride and picked up Jordan's "long arm" Santa! She has been wanting Piper to do something with that Santa ever since she bought it at school! Karlee found Piper first this morning and wanted to know what "Smore days" meant! Obviously she has no idea how hard it is for Piper to write with a Sharpie marker on toilet paper!!

Day 26-Sandy Hook Elementary

I saw something similar on a friend's Facebook page yesterday. I wasn't so sure about doing this one. Pushing Piper's boundaries? After the kids found Piper this morning we had another conversation about what had happened at Sandy Hook. For that I am glad we decided to do this one.

 

Day 25-A little Wii with friends

Horton, Ben Bear, Daisy Cow and Piper must have been up all night playing Rise of the Guardians on Wii! At least Piper is spending time with friends besides that Barbie!

 

Day 24-Shower Time!

The kids found Piper in Jacob's shower! Glad to see he was getting himself all cleaned up. He was getting a bit odoriferous! Jacob thinks it's great, says he doesn't have to take a shower today because Piper is in there! Wrong!! He's also a bit odoriferous!

Day 23-OH NO!! Piper drives??

Not a good feeling to wake up to this (the kids would disagree!)........

 This is what we found when we went outside........

 Piper is definitely not a great parker! Who knew that elves could drive? At least he left us a Rudolph Red Nose and Antlers for our car!
