Snow in Houston!!!

We had an unexpected surprise last night. It snowed!!! The kids an I were having a PJ party and trying to stay warm. It was about 40 degrees-absolutely freezing. We looked outside and lo and behold it was really coming down. So, we ran outside and enjoyed the snow. J and J look like homeless children. I didn't want to chance us missing the snow by changing their clothes. I really had to sacrifice quality on the video to get it small enough to out it in the blog. You can still see everything. Enjoy.

It is really coming down

I just wish all this would have stuck on the ground, still fun though!

All the neighborhood kids came running over to our house

Do you think he is enjoying this?

Nicholas is over it

There was actually enough on the edges of the fence to make a snowball!! That is a huge deal here in Houston.

This snowball was eventually thrown at me!!

We had been inside eating dinner and it started snowing again. This time big fat flakes. The kids wanted to go back outside and catch them in their mouth. Since it never does snow here, back outside we went.

Ouch!! Jacob got a snowflake in the eye

So fun! I just love seeing things through J and J's eyes!!
Now I'm ready for it to get warm enough so we can swim in the pool.

Jacob and Jordan boxing each other

The kids just love the Wii that we got for Christmas. Jacob's favorite is Mario Kart and Jordan's is boxing!! She is great at it! Knocks people out all the time. You will see in the video how much exercise they get while playing it. They are both exhausted when the match is over. I didn't think we all would enjoy it as much as we do. It really is fun for the whole family.

Happy Valentine's Day

Tree climbing

We went to Zube park over Christmas when Mom and Jim were here. We put Jacob and Jordan up in this tree and got this great picture. I have another picture of them about 2 years ago in the same tree. I am trying to find it.

What a dress!!

Jordan wanted to try on my wedding dress. I put her on a stool and here she is!! So pretty. I asked her if she wanted to wear my dress when she got married and she said "no thank you Mommy!!" Gotta love her.

J and J make Valentines

Here are pictures of the kids Valentines for their classmates this year. They both made all of these! Lots of glue was needed to make these foam cards. It was fun to do this project with them. The first picture are Jordan's valentines.
Here are Jacob's Valentines.
We added a Blow Pop and a cool red bag and they were a big hit at school!! Happy Valentine's Day everyone.

Jacob starts T-Ball

Jacob is going to play T-Ball this year!! He is playing in the Fairfield league. This is a huge master planned community right near our neighborhood. It only takes us about 5 minutes to get to practice. Usually it takes us 30 minutes to get anywhere. There are 82 teams this years for baseball. HUGE league! Jacob is super excited about playing and we are so excited to watch him. I am the team Mom and get to do all kinds of fun stuff for his team. His team is the Braves. I'll keep you all posted as the season progresses.
This photo is right before we got in the car to go to his very 1st practice. Jacob wanted me to take a picture of him like he was catching the ball! When we got to practice we found out it was cancelled because of cold and rain. We ended up still having a team meeting. Jacob got to meet all of the other kiddos on his team. He wasn't shy or nervous at all!! The other kids seem really great. I think this is going to be fun.

Jordan says the Pledge

It has been so long since I posted anything on here. Not having my computer has really hurt my blog. I am going to try and start posting more often. I really like having this and hopefully can show it to the kids one day. Here is a video of Jordan. She asked me if I could make a movie of her saying this.
