1st picture with new camera

We have a new camera! We bought a Canon Rebel T1i. Now I just have to learn how to work it. This is going to be fun using this camera. I like how it sounds when you take a photo. Grandma and Grandpa are coming for a visit in a couple of days, I should get plenty of practice!

Kindergarten

Signed the kids up for Kindergarten on Wednesday. Thought I was all calm and cool..........not so much. While filling out all the paperwork, I thought I might be having a heart attack!! I couldn't bring myself to fill out the paper that said how the twins were going to get to school. Bus riders??? My babies??

They are so ready to go to school. I know they are going to have a blast.

Could they just stay little a while longer?

Braves Win!! Braves Win!! Braves Win!!

We started our T-ball weekend of fun by having Jacob's entire team and their families over to our house!! The purpose of this party is to decorate the truck that the team will be riding in at the parade on Saturday morning.

We have lots of decorations, willing parents and tons of toys for the boys and their siblings to play with. We also have pizza being delivered!! This turned out to be really fun. All the boys parents came and really pitched it to get the truck looking fantastic. It's nice to have the parents to so willing to do all the extra stuff associated with your son being on a t-ball team.

I am the team Mom. I have certain jobs I have to do. One of them is ordering the banner. This is the one that I chose for our team. I had to order it from an airbrushing place in California! This t-ball stuff is serious business.

It was a little chilly so I decided to put all the food inside the garage. You know how people from Texas are....60 degrees and we have on gloves and a sweater.

Some of the Braves t-ball team

Here's the final product......

Rob and Coach Brad

Jacob and his new friend Maddux

We were waiting in the parade staging area. The boys got to check out all 81 of the other team trucks in the parade. This is a huge league.

During the parade. The team had a blast throwing candy to all the people. I even bought them silly string to spray.

Some Braves fans

Next up, Opening Day Ceremonies. The boys had to wait a long time for all of the teams to arrive on the field.

We finally got started and said the the Pledge of Allegiance. It was so great to watch all those boys take off their hats and put their hands on their hearts.

The Braves

Daddy and Jordan. We're going home for a little break. Jacob's very first game is in a few hours

One of my jobs as a team mom was to put together a basket to raffle off on Opening Day. Our theme, together with 2 other teams, was educational toys for toddlers. Our team parents all pitched in to donate an item! We are the reason this basket is so huge. I went and bought a child sized wheelbarrow to hold some of the items. I think it turned out great! When we left for our break, the bidding on the silent auction was up to $150!!

Back for game 1 of the season!!

Jacob is getting warmed up.Don't you love the black stuff under his eyes?

Jacob's first at bat ever!!! He's #1 in the line up today

Ready to score the 1st run of the season!!!

This is the time the kids have really looked forward to, SNACK TIME!!

Rob thought we should take Jacob to get ice cream to celebrate his fantastic day

See, they do share!

What a stinker!

Jordan was a trooper this entire weekend. Even though all of this was about her brother, she didn't mind one bit! She had a blast also. Love her too!

What a great weekend this was. I couldn't be more proud of Jacob. I am so looking forward to watching him play t-ball!!!

Jacob and an Olympian??

Meet Jonathan Horton, 2008 Olympic Silver and Bronze medalist....

Meet Jacob, all around nice kid.......

What do they have in common? They both work out at the same gym!! That's right, my son works out with an Olympic gymnast!!
That's them both working on their arm strength.

There they are both working on being upside down! Seriously, an Olympic gymnast!

Jacob, all the way in the back, sticking his landing........Jon, that's what those in the know call him, chalking up for his next trick!

Yeah, he's strong

and can jump

Maybe a future Olympic athlete?

Probably not, but you never know!!
It is cool to watch Jonathan work out. He does some amazing flips and twists. And to see Jacob right there also working on his flips and twists!!
