Our visit to a water park

We had no idea what we were going to do today. I was reading a local magazine and saw an ad for a water park about an hour and a half SW of here in a town called Sheridan. So, we packed up lunches and the kids and went on a mini road trip to Splash Way water park! Man were we in the sticks!! This water park was attached to an RV camping park. Needless to say Rob and I were very skeptical. It turned out to be a BLAST!!! The people the park attracted were diverse to say the least. We commented quite a bit about the vast amounts of tattoos, hickeys, piercings and the incredible lack of teeth!! Do they not have dentists in this part of Texas?? Anyway, with that being said, Jacob and Jordan had so much fun. The park has areas just for kiddos their size. There were water slides, floating plastic animals that they could get on, water spraying everywhere and a great lazy river. We must have gone around the lazy river about 50 times. The kids refused to sit in an inner tube so they just floated around and swam with their life jackets on. Jordan realized that she could make herself spin around and around with the current. Jacob, not to be outdone by his sister, soon learned to spin also. It was so fantastic to watch them having so much fun in the water. Jordan was by far the brave one today. She braved the BIG slide many times by herself while Jacob was content to have fun on smaller slides and teaching himself to dive underwater and touch the bottom of the pool. Rob and I were both so proud of them today and the courage they displayed.
We hope all the Dads have a great Father's Day tomorrow.

Gymnastics and dancing

Hi there,
On Tuesdays we have gymnastic classes. The place we go to is fantastic. This is where Olympic gymnast train. Mary Lou Retton sends her kids here. Anyway, the kids just love it. Jacob moved up to a higher level and Jordan is almost there. Here's a video from today of Jacob doing back rolls down the cheese mat. If you watch it again, check out Jordan in the back ground. There is a boy in a gray shirt who tried to cut in front of her, well, she wasn't putting up with that! She pushes him away and look at the boys reaction! Is he being mean to MY daughter???? Enjoy.

Here's another one to enjoy. Ever since the kids have started watching Cinderella they love to ballroom dance. I taught them on time where their hands go. They say that they are getting married! Usually when Jordan has on some kind of twirly dress, or this case pj's, she asks Jacob to dance with her! I'm not sure if this is ballroom dancing or slam dancing. Either way they are having a blast.

Not much else going on here, just trying to stay cool. Lots of time in the pool.

Seeing Red

Hello there,
I'm a blogger!! I thought this would be a great way to keep you all up to date with what is going on with our busy lives. I can also post videos of the munchkins. This is my first experience with all this high tech stuff, so hang in there while I learn.
This video is great! I decided to mix up some washable paint and put it in a squirty bottle. Silly me for thinking Jacob and Jordan would only spray the paper I taped to the fence!

When they started spraying the paint in their ears I thought that it would be good time to turn on the sprinkler.

I hope you enjoyed the first post in our family blog. We are off to swim in the pool. The twins are going stir crazy.
