Grandma and Grandpa are here!! They come for Easter every year. Jacob and Jordan are always so excited for their visit. They have to show them all their stuff right away. I think they forget that they've been here before and have seen most of it already??? Grandma and Grandpa have probably only been here for about 5 minutes and they already have to go outside and see the play set, that they've see before!
Apparently riding on a teeter totter is NOT like riding a bike. Grandpa must have forgotten how!!

Dancing with Daddy

Of course they have to play Jordan's favorite game, Pretty, Pretty Princess!! Like Grandpa's earring and Grandma's crown??
Watching Backyardigans before bed

The next day J & J have to show them their cars. They've seen these also! Jacob likes to drive Jordan's Mustang because it's faster than his Monster truck! I love seeing him in this pink car!

The kids like to play drive thru window when someone is sitting in those chairs. You really have to watch your toes....They come flying up to the "window"

This day was just a hang around the house kind of day. We are going to Disney in October for the twins 5th birthday. Here is Jordan fitting Grandma for her princess outfit. Jordan has already decided what princess outfits she will be bringing with her.

Grandma brought this crazy recipe to make with Jacob and Jordan called Frog Eye Salad. It's kind of like Tapioca pudding. It actually was really yummy. Here are some pictures of the adventures in cooking with the twins!

Jacob and Jordan got to pick out and help plant all the flowers for their flower boxes. They turned out so pretty.

2 little monkeys........
Jordan took this picture of Grandpa

Way to cold to go in the pool so we broke out the sprinkler
This is her, are you telling me what to do, face!

Time to dry off and warm up Tigger and Pooh!

How sweet is that?
Jacob with my reading glasses. Yes, I am wearing reading glasses now. When did that happen??
We had a Spring Fling at the kids school on this day. It was fantastic! There were games to play, fire trucks to see and all sorts of other fun things to do. We even ran into the kids best friends. Here they are checking out the fire truck.
This was so cool. They had never done this before. I thought for sure Jacob was going to turn the hose on all the people standing around watching!

They even had a story time at the festival. All the kids really enjoyed it.

This is Camryn and Lauren's little sister, Baby Payton. I swear she's going to be 20 years old and J & J are still going to be calling her that.

Now on to an Easter egg hunt at the festival
Camryn and Jordan

She's got a pretty good swing
This game was a big hit with Jacob. No pun intended
more games to play
Camryn enjoying the petting zoo

There was a dunk tank also. Pastor Ben, a great Pastor at our church was in there this time. The kids really wanted him in the water.
In the next two photos, after the kids took their shots, they actually ran up to the target and pushed it so Pastor Ben went into the water! He was a really good sport about it!
Of course there has to be a train.....

We are back home now. Out of our good clothes and into it's ok to get them dirty clothes. This is the first time we have dyed Easter eggs with the kids. It wasn't nearly as messy as I thought it was going to be. Only a couple of spills and J & J did a great job.

The finished products.....
Happy Easter!!!

Silly Grandma
Rob and Jacob think they spot something in the backyard......Maybe the Easter Bunny has been there??
Yep, he's been here with a vengeance!!! It had been raining quite a bit the past week, so on with the rain boots to hunt Easter eggs!!Jacob found an egg with Jordan's name on it.
Woo Hoo another egg!!!

The kids had collected so many eggs that we had to get a grocery bag for them to empty their Easter baskets into so they could collect more!!

Inside now opening the eggs. Notice the beautiful diamond ring Jordan found in one of the eggs. So up her alley!
Apparently Jordan thinks Rob needs one of her butterfly clips for his hair???
Finally done with the eggs and now we are just hanging out
around the house. The curtains you see in this next video were
made by Grandma and myself!!! We get so much direct sun
back there in the afternoon that we needed a way to get some
shade. I love the way they turned out! Thanks to my friend Tami
for letting us borrow her sewing machine!
Oh the things Grandparents let their grandchildren do!
I have to tell you that the pool is FREEZING!!! No way
would I have let them get in. But then, I wasn't the one
making the decisions. Jacob and Jordan were glad about
that!
Shear joy!!

Quiet contemplation
Later in the day on Easter, our next door neighbor had a little Easter egg hunt for the neighborhood kids. There was only ONE golden egg. Guess who found it???

All the kids checking out the golden egg that they all were desperately trying to find. There was two dollars inside! The older kids were not happy that Jacob found it. HEE HEE!!!

Our neighbor, Tressa, also arranged games for them to play. It was really fun.

J & J just love these egg races. What a great Easter we all had.

The next day was playgroup with our twins club. Off to the zoo we went.

Captain Jacob

These bubbles are so fun. The kids get to have a close up view of Prairie dogs.
Grandma is just great! She gets down and dirty with the kids all the time. Here they are in a fox's den!
Maxin' and relaxin' with Grandpa in a zoo stroller

Love, love, love these next two pictures!
Taking a ride on the new zoo train. It's so much nicer and the track is much longer. It's probably a 20 minute ride all the way around the Herman park area.

Home form the zoo and we have 2 tired guys.

Grandma had to go back home to Richmond and Grandpa went to Colorado to see his son, my stepbrother, for a few days. Grandpa came back to our house for the weekend, by himself, before flying back home.

We had a ton of mulch delivered that weekend. Here are the kids "helping" Daddy!

King and Queen of the hill!

Yep, everyone gets in the trampoline with the kids. Grandpa was quite brave letting them jump over him!

Grandpa's last day. What a fantastic week we had. It makes me so sad when they have to go home. I wish all the time that our family lived closer to us. The kids ask all the time when they are coming back to visit.

This is a keeper! Think they like each other??

Lots of pictures and lots of great times and memories!!
